What is aquaponics
Aquaponics is an efficient system
to grow your garden that reduces maintenance needed to care for the garden, increases yield for plants grown with in the garden and using natures already proven system to develop an organic ecosystem that produces strong healthy plants while supporting strong healthy fish in the process.
system
Aquaponic systems do not require the purchase of herbicides or pesticides in order to see results within your garden and can even prove to be toxic offsetting the natural balance of the system and its nutrient producing process.
HOW AQUAPONICS WORK
The three important elements in any aquaponics system are plants, fish and beneficial bacteria. Put very simply, when you feed the fish and they produce waste. The waste is then broken down by beneficial bacteria to produce food for the plants. The plants then filter out the nutrients producing clean water for the fish in a

While in no way is this list exclusive to aquaponics, it encompasses some of the varieties that have shown great success in their growth and harvest yields. Some of these plants that have proven to thrive from this particular type of system are:

beneficial bacteria
While the fish and plants are visibly the most important variables within an aquaponics system, the beneficial bacteria are the key to its successful operation. The Nitrogen cycle is the most important thing as it relates to a healthy living aquaponics system.
